I was born in Chalkis, an historic ancient Greek city, where I attended high school.
After studying physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
I obtained a
Post-Graduate Diploma in computation from the University of Manchester, UK. Following
this, I went to the USA where I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Department
of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Maryland and, for a summer semester,
as a Research Assistant at NASA (Goddard Space Flight Center). After returning to
Greece I completed my Ph.D., on "Early-Years Teachers' Ideas of Concepts of Physics",
in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's School of Education.
- I am married to Loukas Vlahos (Professor in the Department of Physics, Aristotle
